﷯Colin Gray Percussion- United Kingdom On completion of his studies at The Royal Military School of Music where he won the Denis Brady Memorial Prize for Percussion Performance, Colin was posted to the Band of The Prince of Wales's Division. During his five years' service Colin travelled all over the world including tours to Canada, The Falklands, Cyprus, Europe and Dubai where he performed in the exclusive Madinat Theatre and Al Jumeirah Beach Hotel Complex. Whilst in the UK, Colin performed at The Festival of Remembrance at The Royal Albert Hall alongside international superstars Katherine Jenkins and Russel Watson and at the world famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo that was broadcast to a global audience. He also appeared as a featured soloist of the Band on many occasions and was selected by the Principal Director of Army Music to appear in The All-Star Band of the Corps of Army Music for its centenary celebrations. Whilst serving in the Army, Colin amassed numerous TV, Radio and CD recording credits. He has been heavily involved in the Brass Band circuit for many years and has been a percussionist in the Flowers Band since 2005. During this time he has appeared at all the major contests in the UK including The Open at Symphony Hall in Birmingham, The National Finals at The Royal Albert Hall and Brass in Concert at The Sage Centre, Gateshead. He has also appeared on many of the Band's CDs including a solo CD by Brett Baker, international soloist and clinician and Principal Trombone of the Black Dyke Band. Colin has also appeared on national radio multiple times with the Band and has had the opportunity to guest with many of the best bands in the country including the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band. Colin has over 20 musical theatre credits on both drum kit and percussion and has worked for a number of function bands and orchestras including the British Concert Orchestra conducted by the host of BBC Radio 2's Listen to the Band, Frank Renton. In 2009 Colin became an Alternate Mode Artist performing on the malletKAT and in 2010 was delighted to become a Smith Mallets endorser.
