﷯Joshua Chiado Alderson-Broaddus College - West Virginia Joshua Chiado has served as Instructor of Percussion at Alderson-Broaddus College since 2007. His responsibilities include teaching private lessons, percussion ensemble, and percussion pedagogy classes. An A-B alumnus, Chiado holds the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Musical Arts with a minor in Education and is currently pursuing a Music Education Degree from Fairmont State University. A native of Clarksburg, WV, Mr. Chiado has performed with the Edwin McCain band, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Appalachia Brass, and DCI. An active composer, numerous schools have used his percussion arrangements. Chiado has studied with Kurry Seymour (formerly of Coastal Carolina University), Gordon Nunn (West Virginia University), Matt Schoonmaker (Fairmont State University), and Brian Wolfe (formerly of the Maynard Ferguson Band). Mr. Chiados concurrent positions include Director of Percussion at Bridgeport High School (since 1999), Director of Music at Galilean Baptist Church, Percussion Instructor at Taylor County Middle School, and private percussion teacher at Bandland & Percussion Center. The Bridgeport High Schools percussion sections, both battery and front ensemble, and percussion ensemble, have earned numerous awards under his leadership.
